App of the Day: PixLR Express

You would think with the tons of photo editing tools available for mobile devices that there really wouldn’t be a clear cut winner. The all pretty much perform the same right? Wrong. At least as far as I’m concerned you got two schools of photo editing programs at your disposal. The first type is basically the glittery, picture framing apps that everyone loves to spruce up their photos in before dropping the exclusives on all their instagram followers. The second is real, photo manipulation software for people who are picky about their photography. The second is where Pixlr Express comes in.

Full featured programs are what you come to expect from a company such as AUTODESK who produces the Pixlr app as well as a few others. You get access to effects, filters, frames, text, and an entire suite of other features as well. For what it’s worth you are going to be limited to your photo manipulation abillities on any mobile device but the long list of extra’s is what wins Pixlr over for us.
