At the tender age of 17, Jean-Michel Basquait left home and was determined to survive on the streets of New York City. Even though he never really experienced the job market a few years later he became rich and famous.
As apart of the “Man Made” selling exhibition at Sotheby’s was a untitled two page hand written resume from a 20 year old Basquiat. The resume included limited education, published interviews, and a list of references that had some notable figures. Such as Andy Warhol, Tennessee Williams and Dick Tracey. Now thats a pretty solid list of references. The asking price for the resume was $50,000.
Above you can see the misspellings of Basquiat being funny and scratch outs that make this a pretty humorous and confusing resume. check out more details from the Man Made exhibit by clicking this link. http://basquiat.sothebys.com/
