As you may or may not know, Big Ghost Fase runs a Hip-Hop comedy blog called Big Ghost Chronicles (bigghostnahmean.blogspot.com), which is HILARIOUS and offers some real insight on the current state of Hip-Hop if you can stop laughing hard enough to read between the lines.  Famed DJ Rob Swift has taken it upon himself to pen a thought provoking open letter on his own website in support of Big Ghost’s movement. More than a few passages stood out to me, especially “”Many of us have tried to speak out on all the bullsh*t we see being forced upon us by an industry that’s raping the sh*t out of a culture we’ve seen grow from infancy. As a result of speaking out, we’re called “haters.” We’re asked “why you mad?” My personal favorite is ‘if you were gettin’ money, you wouldn’t worry about what Nicki Minaj is doing to Hip Hop!’ Truth is, having an opinion that isn’t the status quo was never hating.
