Interview

How did the Achiever’s Closet get started?

We found two talented designers who worked for famous artist’s tour tee. We established brand callabo tees and I wanted to have them design my ideas on Achiever’s Closet products.

What is the significance of the name?

The name is appropriate because we make quality products for the people who achieved their dream or who are trying to achieve something in the future.

When the company was initially conceived, what did you hope to achieve with the brand?

No matter who you are, where you’re from, I would like to produce clothing and send out a message for people who are trying to achieve something in their life and give them inspiration to make it happen.

What makes Achiever’s Closet stand out as a company?

A fusion of a vintage feeling, design, music, and art that inspires our clothing.

Where do you do your manufacturing?

In the USA.

How many stores are your products in other than your own?

We started our market from Japan. We currently work with about 35 stores over in Japan. In 2012 we are marketing in the US as well.

Do you feel your brand is a part of the sneakerhead movement?

I’m not sure yet.

Anyone famous rocking your products?

Ali Shaeed (A Tribe Called Quest), Ibrahim Baaith (Model City), Pismo, King Jam, some other Japanese established talents.

Do you have any of your own stores for the brand? If not is that something you would be interested in pursuing?

We don’t have one yet, but I’m planning to have my own store in the future.

Any advice for someone starting their own brand?

Just get started with a clear vision.

What are some of your hottest designs?

Our artist collection is very popular. (Biggie, Basquiat, Slick Rick, Madonna tees and more).

Where do you go from here? What are your plans for the future?

We are striving to be a world wide famous brand. It would be great to see achievers from all around the world wearing and loving my brand.

Thank you for taking the time with Soletron! We appreciate it!
