So those pesky celebrity hackers who threw the FBI and Secret Service for a loop after hacking into numerous celebrity and high-profile people’s bank and financial accounts, have decided it’s simply time to call it quits. Though they were never caught, the hackers have decided their fun is over and they’re ending their hacking spree today.
If you recall, the celebrity hackers have been posting financial information of high-profile people (whom they considered ‘hateable’) on a website that popped up earlier this week. The sensitive information came from individuals such as, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Ashton Kutcher, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, FBI Director Robert Mueller, and Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck, Tiger Woods, Mitt Romney, Kris Jenner, Director of the U.S. Marshals Service Stacia Hylton, Mel Gibson, Kanye West, Al Gore, Michelle Obama, Hulk Hogan, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Octomom.
They had everything from bank account info AND access to credit reports, phone numbers and even social security numbers. Law enforcement, particularly the FBI were working frantically to ‘catch’ the hackers and put an end to the website that contained all the data with no luck. As of this morning, the hackers have decided to call it quits themselves.
This new message appeared on their website and read,
“Hello everyone, this is our final message. Behind this jolly visage of rainbows and top hats, we are people. People with a preference for music, a preference for food; we have varying taste in clothes and television, we are just like you. Even Hitler and Osama Bin Laden had these unique variations and style, and isn’t that interesting to know? We have enjoyed every minute of the past 12 days of providing entertainment and laughs to all of you, sadly it’s time to say bon voyage – we hope – inspiration, fear, denial, happiness, approval, disapproval, mockery, embarrassment, thoughtfulness, jealousy, hate, even love. If you believe that God makes miracles, you have to wonder if Satan has a few up his sleeve.”
The last line of their final goodbye was a line of the Showtime show “Dexter” which the hackers seemed to be heavily influenced by and quoted often, even in secret messages and codes on their website.
Do you think the hackers are done for good, or is something else up their sleeve?
