 Company of Artists

Started out of a parent’s basement in Breck by three guys who previously toiled for a snowboard mag, Five Points-based COA is just now dropping their largest-ever release of streetwear, which’s unsurprisingly influenced by snow/skate culture, but not Snowskate culture, as then the clothes would just constantly fall down. The cut-and-sew goodness is all screen printed by the dudes themselves, and includes designs like “Words Will Never Hurt Me” depicting a guy aiming an AK-47 made entirely of words at a blindfolded victim, a Neighborhood watch crest (also available as a hoody or crew neck) with their company mascot (a stick figure head on a suit), and the initials “COA” with a bonsai-type tree and tiny martial artists dubbed “Ninja Practice” — also an after-school activity where the orange slicing is actually sort of the main event.

Other newness includes a DJ AMPLIVE collab tee with a pic of the Bay Area-musician within the word “company”, and “We Play For Keeps” with two business types shaking hands; plus, they’ve still got some stock from their last drop, like one with the suited mascot blending into white stripes dubbed the “Diagonal”, which is also the approach Elton John used to climb straight to the top of the charts.
