Complex Mag has put out its list of Top 50 Best Albums of 2012. And the top 5 albums to make the list are:
1. Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, m.A.A.d City
2. Frank Ocean’s Channel Orange
3. Rick Ross’ Rich Forever
4. Lana Del Rey’s Born To Die
5. Schoolboy Q’s Habits & Contradictions
I can’t say I’m surprised to see the people who have made the top list. Kendrick Lamar and Frank Ocean have indubitably been two of my favorite artists of 2012 (have you seen my blog posts? I’m like a Kendrick worshipper) and have been shuffling on my IPod since the release of both their albums. No one can deny the fire that is Rick Ross’ album (and my favorite track for a while was “Diced Pineapples”) and the sultry sound of Lana Del Rey is something the music industry has been waiting for a while. Although I haven’t had a chance to listen to Schoolboy Q’s latest, there’s no doubt that Complex Mag’s stamp of approval will have me listening to his album over the next few days.
Be sure to check out the rest of the list to see if your favorite albums made it to the top 50.
Let us know in the comments below what you think about who did and did not make the list!
