Eagles’ Force Pay Cut On Nnamdi Asomugha.

After two sub-par seasons from what they expected to be their “shutdown corner” the Philadelphia Eagles are reportedly in the midst of restructuring Nnamdi Asomugha’s 5 year $60 million contract ($25 million guaranteed). According to sources the Eagles have offered up an ultimatum to their now lackluster blockbuster acquisition. Inviting him to meet with management, who are currently in Indianapolis for the NFL combine, Philadelphia is offering a new deal or apparently are ready to cut the under-performing Nnamdi altogether. The Eagles have yet to release the details of this new deal, but it is most certainly considered a pay-cut for the former highest paid DB in the league. Hopefully his restructuring can appease the wishes of fellow corner back, Darrelle Revis, to not forcing the Jets’ to give him “the farm” so to speak. Revis, who is easily recognized as the best DB in the league currently, is arguably the best player on the franchise in the last 10 years.
