Hugh Grant will join the cast of the upcoming Guy Ritchie remake of a popular 60′s spy show The Man From U.N.C.L.E. The movie will begin production in September and doesn’t have release date yet but smart money is on next summer. The movie also stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, whose names are still pretty big considering their summer blockbusters (I am still laughing about The Lone Ranger, and Hammer can suck it).Cavill was cast when Tom Cruise dropped out of the role because it conflicted with one of his other projects. The movie is about two spies, Cavill and Hammer, who work for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement also called U.N.C.L.E. Grant will play the head of British Naval Intellignce. I take his casting in that role to mean that the movie will not be taking itself too seriously as things explode in thee background. Ritchie co-wrote the script with Lionel Wigram. The two have worked together before. The duo teamed up for Sherlock Holmes and it’s sequel Game of Shadows, which starred Robert Downey Jr., doing a terrible accent mind you, and Jude Law, who looked handsomely annoyed through both movies. Ritchie is hoping to once again score as big with U.N.C.L.E. as he did with Sherlock.
