It was only a matter of time before Daft Punk would seize the opportunity to use their song ‘Get Lucky’ as way to sell sex related products. According to NME, Durex has teamed up with Daft Punk to make a Daft Punk themed condom and like in the picture above, the package has Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams and Niles Rogers in front of a blazing sun with the stylized Daft Punk logo.
It is unclear whether these condoms will be released to the general public, but Durex has apparently been sending promotional packages to DJs. Diplo, for instance, posted the above photo on Instagram last night, captioned with: “Thank god I had those Daft Punk condoms last night.”
I honestly don’t see a problem with it. If a duo as successful as Daft Punk can put out condoms for promotion for their music and promote safe-sex, I see nothing wrong with that. Safe sex is the best sex.
