Tag Heuer introduces the Carrera Calibre 1887 Chronograph Jack Heuer Edition watch. The tribute watch is a follow up of last year’s Jack Heuer’s 80th Birthday Carrera. The tribute watch is a bullhead chronograph from the 1960′s Heuer stopwatches. It shares many of the designs seen on the 80th Birthday watch. With a two register layout the color scheme includes black, grey and red. The chronographs new release pays attention to Heuer’s design sensibility. The Jack Heuer tribute watch features a 45mm case made black titanium carbide steel, and takes its shape from the Mikrogirder. In other words, the case sits at a slight tilt on the wrist and instead of the pushers and crown being on the side they’re on the top of the case. The caseback is smoke sapphire and features Heuer’s signature and coat of arms. The caseback covers the 1887 movement. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Carrera.
