Jenny McCarthy To Host New Late-Night Talk Show Inspired By Playboy

Former Playboy Playmate, Jenny McCarthy will host a new late-night talk show to premiere in February (8th) on VH1.  For the last several years you’ve seen her host such events as New Years Eve with Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest and has been involved in many unproductive development deals.  Jenny told the Associated Press that she decided the best character she can play is herself.

The actress and former playmate says she’s looking to Hugh Hefner’s “Playboy After Dark” as an inspiration for her new show.  She’s looking for a party atmosphere.  One segment she told the AP is called the “groundbreaking interview,” which is talking to celebrity guests while both are lying on the ground.  She will also play games with innocent patrons.  One for instance is called “Drunk, Dumb or Both,” where she will be asking men outside a bar questions like, “what color is a red boat?”

In a recent interview about her talk show, the 40-year old explains,

“I am definitely more late night than daytime right now, at this point in my life.  I’m really excited that VH1 told me that they would allow me to be myself and let me continue kind of being that brand of being outrageous [and] outspoken, but fun.”
