Justin Timberlake, hands down, had the best performance at the MTV VMA’s. He took fans through his career by showcasing hits from “Cry Me a River” to his latest single “Take Back the Night”. Proving why he deserved the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, he keeps up the momentum by prepping for the release of The 20/0 Experience – 2 of 2.
JT released the official tracklist earlier this month via Instagram videos, but forgot to mention the most important thing; his features. The Tennessee crooner teams up with Drake and Jay Z this time around for two tracks off the new album. Reunited with his “Suit & Tie” collaborator, JT and Hov come back together for “Murder”. The two have taken the heat of “Suit & Tie” and brought it to the stage with their Legends of the Summer tour that just wrapped up. JT will also make an appearance in the video of “Holy Grail” off of Jay Z’s Magna Carta. Drake also lends his voice to track number 3 entitled “Cabaret”. The question is, will he be singing or rapping? Drake has been working on his singing voice and after his performance on the VMA’s, I’d say he can even carry his own with JT. An R&B duo with these two would be muy caliente.
The 11-track album releases on September 30th with the lead single “Take Back the Night” that was produced by long time collaborator Timbaland and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon. The first of the 20/20 Experience sold over 968,000 copies in the first week and is still the highest selling album of 2013. Maybe only JT can top himself!
