Handpicked to front the cover of Vanity Fair for the magazine’s 100th anniversary issue is model Kate Upton. The theme for this shoot was to have Upton posing as Marilyn Monroe. Kate sports a flesh-colored bathing suit similar to the dress Monroe wore for her infamous birthday song performance for President John F. Kennedy in 1962. Upton also mimics the very first issue of Dress & Vanity Fair which was released in 1913. Shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz, you don’t want to miss out on this classic anniversary issue available on newsstands September 5th.
