Kobe Bryant and the Lakers came to Atlanta Wednesday night for a showdown with the Hawks. Bryant put up 31 points, but fell to the home team. With about 3.9 seconds remaining in the game, Kobe took a jump shot from the baseline that would’ve forced overtime. Kobe came down real hard with some contact from Dahntay Jones, and it appeared that Bryant landed on Jones’ foot. Consequently, Kobe had to leave the game with a sprained ankle.

Bryant and Jones had a little quarrel on Twitter going back and forth about whether the play was a foul or not. Hopefully it won’t take long for Kobe to recover because the Lakers definitely will need him if they make a playoff push.
