The script is the lifeblood of a movie. Without it, all you have is improvisation. However, improvised scenes are sometimes the most memorable and iconic scenes of the entire movie. Great actors do not merely read their lines, they embody the character they play, and sometimes in the heat of a scene may deviate from the script and add something to the movie that seems organic, when really it is unplanned.
