Lil Wayne To Appeal Court Decision

After losing his incredibly long and presumably tedious legal battle with producer Quincy Jones III (aka QD3) Wayne is taking steps to get back in court. Back in November, Mr. Carter was ordered to pay Jones $2,195,000 in the wake of the producer’s lawsuit against the rapper.

To be sure, this didn’t help Wayne’s case AT ALL

The case and verdict were the result of a film by QD3 which Wayne claims portrayed him in a negative light, as well as using his music without his permission. Jones retorted that Wayne’s legal conundrum destroyed any chance of profitability by keeping it legally tied up. The jury sided with QD3.

Wayne has now filed court documents declaring his intent to appeal the jury’s decision. He’s got a month to file the actual appeal.
