During the first day of taping for America’s Got Talent, new judge Mel B got boo’ed very loudly. It all happened when a New Orleans brass band performed and Mel B dissed them.
The auditions began Monday in New Orleans, and Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and 2 new judges; Heidi Klum and Mel B were all present for the show. The first act of the day was Lagniappe, a very popular New Orleans brass band.
Mel B told the band that she wasn’t a fan of brass music. Unfortunately that’s like shouting you love the New York Yankees in Boston; you just don’t do that, it could be dangerous. The Big Easy is known for their brass music, and once it came out of Mel’s mouth, the audience went nuts on her, screaming “Go home,” and “No respect.” Apparently Mel got uncomfortable and leaned into Howie Mandel for support. Allegedly Heidi had no problem on her first day. Check out Lagniappe‘s music below.
