Perhaps no runner had a more appropriate than Usain Bolt of Jamaica, who sets a new world record in the 100m, winning in a time 9.69 seconds, capturing the Gold Medal at the Beijing Olympics. Bolt, who is nicknamed Lightning bolt ran the race with one of his shoelace tied. Bolt would later add Gold in the 200M, becoming the first Man to win Gold in both the 100M and 200M since Carl Lewis in 1984. Usain Bolt would win both the 100M and 200M again during the London games four years later.
