While on the road, this week is one I am looking forward to; as it finishes with 2013′s Pitchfork Music Festival (July 19th through the 21st in Chicago’s Union Park). Topping off this years installment of Pitchfork Music Festival, the good people at Pitchfork Media bring us such amazing artists as R. Kelly, Björk, Belle & Sebastian, M.I.A., Lil B, Solange, Swans, Rustie, Wire, Low, Savages, Toro Y Moi, El-P, Chairlift, Killer Mike, TNGHT, and many, many more.
With the eclectic blend of artist Pitchfork is known for, this year’s 8th annual festival remains committed to presenting one of the most exciting, positive and all around inviting events in the region. We’re excited to be covering for a repeat year! Unfortunately, the three-day passes are now sold out but single-day passes are still available for $50 each.
Having to make it from stage to stage to see everyone that I am personally looking forward to will be a task have already mapped out. Check out the app on your Iphone or Android phone to help scheduling. As in year’s past, acts are dispersed between the three stages (Red, Green and Blue) with larger acts settled on the Green and Red stages (and more staggered times). Check out a couple of my favorite performances of last years festival below. Enjoy!
