It all began in evidence control in the Wichita Police Department. An evidence clerk found three bags of marijuana torn open. Some of the drug was missing. The missing marijuana was being held as evidence in a 2009 case near the facility at 3rd and Waco, and now Police have a suspect.

Police believe mice chewed through the bags to eat and use the marijuana as nesting material. No word yet on whether the mice have been found, but Wichita Police spokesman Lt. Doug Nolte says they do have contracts with exterminators to handle the situation.
