The Seattle Seahawks have one of the biggest advantages in all of football…the 12th man. Seattle is home to some of the loudest crowds in the NFL. It doesn’t hurt that CenturyLink Field is built in such a way to channel all that noise directly onto the field. That being said, Seahawks fans will try to break the Guinness World Record for loudest crowd. They’ve requested that Guinness be present for the Seahawks’ home opener against the San Francisco 49ers on September 15th.
The current record was set by a crowd at a Turkish soccer game at a decibel level of 131.76. The loudest that Seahawks fans have gotten is a 112, but they’re hoping that the excitement of the home opener against a huge rival will provide the extra push they need to break the record.
