Whatup Soletron peeps. Fashionistas and sneakerheads gather around, we got some new exclusive and lucratively dope sh*t to share with you guys once again. Recently, I sat down with one half of the high fashion design team Etre Fier to get the inside scoop. Etre Fier is a premium design company specializing in reconstruction of some of the most popular high fashion labels. Essentially what this team does, is takes dope sh*t to the next level. They will take your basic Louis Vuitton sweater, and embellish it with rare fabrics and leathers to the point that your peers will have to inquire about it. You know what you can tell them? This is that new Etre Fier. You know why you can tell them that? Because Soletron got you hip to it first. See how this works?

Actually got a chance to sit down with Co-owner of Etre Fier, Ryan Cooke, to get some inside information on the company.

Here’s what he said.

How old were you when you decided you wanted to get into fashion?

I always had a passion for fashion since my sophomore year in high school So around 17. But it really started to evolve once I started to attend Virginia Commonwealth University. Just being around so many different type of people and embracing new styles, really helped me have a better appreciation and outlook on fashion.

Was Etre Fier your introduction into fashion or had you done work with other brands before?

No, sophomore year in college I started a clothing brand called “N-Dividual Klothing”, also known as NDK . Thats my heart right there! That started everything for me, as far as getting my name out there in the fashion world.

How did you come up with the name “Etre Fier”? What does it mean?

It was all my partner/co-owner Jack Ly Idea for the concept and name. We actually came up with a few names but Etre Fier was the best fit at the time. It Stands for ” To Be Proud”.

When did you launch Etre Fier? Is Etre Fier sold in stores or only online?

We dOur first season January 1st 2013, And sold out in 1 week. The Custom Fendi Crewneck sold out in a couple Hours. For Now We Are Going To Keep Selling Strictly Online. We Have Received A Great Response From Our Online Store, And Plan On Releasing The Official Etre Fier Site Soon!

Do you consider Etre Fier as a streetwear brand?

Not at all. What we are doing is BIGGER than street wear. This is all luxury products. Customization of all your favorite designer fabrics and leathers.

What advice do you have for college students who are looking to branch into fashion?

The best advice I could give, is strictly what I know that worked for me. Which was researching, learning the ends and outs of the business and how companies worked. Learn your market that you will be working in, and have a great team to help support and push your ideas.

What was one of the highlights in your fashion career?

Just being able to go on tours and work with artist, like Curren$y, Big Krit, Wiz Khalifa, And Mac Miller. I had the privilege to work with them when they were not mainstream, so to see them blow up and to help my brands grow and expand was awesome.

How do you hope to differentiate your brand from other urban brands?

Well, For start not to many designers are doing what we are doing in the way that we are doing. Of course, you have designers doing Cut N Sew Pieces, But We Are Taking Custom Luxury Fabrics And Leathers To A New Level.

What does the future hold for Etre Fier?

Just to introduce to the mass our work, everything else will come into place. Season 1 sold out! Season 2 dropping in a few weeks.

From what you can gather, Etre Fier is still in it’s beginning stages. The company owners are extremely knowledgeable as to what’s going on in the fashion world and you can only imagine how far this will go. Just remember where you got it first.
