Funny-man Steve Carell stopped by NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to talk about Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.  It was almost 10 years ago since the original Anchorman came out, to which they are currently filming the sequel in Atlanta.

Jay Leno asked Steve Carell how is ‘legally retarded’ meteorologist Brick Tamland character would evolve in the sequel.  Carell answered with, “He will not evolve. He will devolve.  My hope with the movie was that it’s going to be exactly the same … Nobody changes.”

Anchorman 2 will reunite original cast members Steve Carell and Will Ferrell as well as Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner.  The sequel will also include some comedic newcomers like Kristen Wiig.  The comedy is being directed by Adam McKay and is set to be released Dec. 20 of this year.  Check out Steve Carell‘s interview about Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues with Jay Leno below.
