Apple founder Steve Jobs‘ widow, Laurene Powell is dating former Washington D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty. It’s been two years now since Jobs’ death from pancreatic cancer and it seems Laurene is getting on with life.
The 49-year-old billionaire businesswoman met Fenty through a Houston education conference in 2011, and recently their friendship has blossomed into a “budding romance,” an insider told The Washington Post. 42-year old Adrian Fenty was elected mayor of D.C. in 2006, but was defeated in a 2010 bid for reelection.
When Fenty left office he began consulting with educational tech companies and teaching at Oberlin College. In 2012, he joined the board of non-profit college prep organization College Track, a program co-founded by Steve Jobs. January 14 of this year, Adrian Fenty announced he was separating from his wife Michelle after 15 years of marriage. The couple have two sons and a daughter.
Laurene Powell met Steve Jobs at Stanford, where she earned her M.B.A. She inherited some $10 billion dollars after her husband died and has kept a low profile since. The couple have three children – a son and two daughters.
