Many games have tried getting us emotionally attached to their narrative before with varying degrees of success, but the playstation 3 exclusive has truly knocked it out of the park.  For further proof of this, Sony has released the sales figures which are astounding.  The game has managed to sell over 3.4 million copies in the first three weeks of release, making it the fastest-selling PS3 game of 2013.  Sony’s Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida has released a statement saying:

The teams at Naughty Dog are true visionaries and their storytelling capabilities are second to none, this title is an undisputed demonstration of that. SCE continues to be committed to delivering unique gameplay experiences that redefine the interactive entertainment industry and The Last of Us is a perfect example.”

This news excites me, knowing that millions of gamers are experiencing the same emotionally gripping story that I had when playing the game.  The Last of Us is deserving of its success and I can’t wait to see what Naught Dog does next.  Especially for the Playstation 4.  Read More at
