There is nothing better than well put together pair of Nike SB dunks. No matter what your dunk of choice may be, it is hard not to be noticed in them. Whether your attempting to grind a 10 stair handrail or simply walking to store, the creative minds behind Nike SB make sure that whatever your doing you’ll be doing it in style and comfort. Without the power of music and art  skateboarding just wouldn’t be what is today. Over the years Nike has paid homage to the most influential music in the skateboarding world by immortalizing them in some of the sickest colorways ever imagined

10. Marshall Amp Dunk High

Everyone knows that the  guitar is the ultimate status symbol for coolness, but rock stars have to do more than carry around a cool looking guitar to have swarm of  hot groupies chase them down the street. With that being said what good is an awesome guitar with out an equally as awesome amplifier?  This sneaker comes equipped with a black mesh upper surrounded by grey leather sitting on top a black mid-sole. The shoe’s also patent leather on the heel as well as the 3m reflective material  encompassing the shoe completes the rock star look.

9. Dr. Feel Good Dunk High

This lean green fighting machine is inspired by  the popular  Heavy metal band Motley Crüe’s  album titled Dr. Feel Good. This gold box era  high top dunk sports a light green suede upper, Forrest green leather side- panels, and reptilian print on the heel  and toe box. Finally the red leather swoosh and outsole adds a well needed contrast to bring it all together.    As the name implies this eye catching sneaker will not only make you look good but feel good too.

8. Vanilla Ice SB Blazer

What ever happened to Vanilla Ice anyways? This Nike SB Blazer originally released as a part of the fallen hero’s pack back in 2007 along side the ‘MC Hammer’  Classic, ‘Milli Vanilli’ Dunk Low, and ‘ Pee Wee Herman’ Dunk High.  The shoe takes the simplistic Nike Blazer to a whole new level. It sports an entirely red upper which sits  on top of a white midsole. The key features of this shoe are the contrasting blue stars and swoosh. Vanilla Ice’ s music may have taken a turn for the worst but one thing is for certain; these kicks will never die.

7. Gibson Dunk Low

This shoe draws influence from a vintage Fender Guitar case. It may look plain at first glance, but this shoe has no shortage of detail or creativity. Starting from the floor up the shoe has a brown outsole, semi-translucent midsole, an entirely brown high quality leather upper, and a contrasting tan swoosh with pink stitching. This shoe is clean but the real party is on the inside. The inside lining is covered in a pink fur while the insole graphic features loose change symbolizing the hustler mentality of street performers.

6. November Rain Dunk Mid

It’s only right that Nike SB pays homage to one of the greatest rock bands of all time; Guns and Roses.  This 2007 collaboration focuses on the hit song November Rain. It features a grey suede back panel and strap, black leather side panels, black suede toecap and eyelets,  a white leather toe box, and a patent leather back panel. This dunk is also the only mid-top dunk in existence features a leather tongue with a graphic. The creativity of the song is clearly embodied in this shoe.

5.   MF DOOM Dunk High

“DOOM all capital no trick spelling, got what it takes to get it through your thick melon.”  This masked marauder is  regarded as a legend in the hip-hop world. Not only because of his unorthodox approach to rapping but because his kept his identity under wraps by donning a mask every time he hits the stage. This is a feat truly worthy of your own shoe. The shoe pays tribute to this villain by replacing both “Nike SB tags on the tongue with his trade mark Dr. Doom Mask. “Doom” is also spelled out in graffiti on the flaps, His album artwork is immortalized on the insoles of the sneaker, as well as inside of the translucent outsole. If that wasn’t enough the shoe also comes equipped with custom lace-locks, and 3m reflecting piping for a nice added touch. This is truly a sneaker worth saving for

4. Dinosaur Jr. Dunk High

This dunk, inspired by the popular band Dinosaur Jr. , can easily be spotted from a mile away. These moon boots are  cloaked in a metallic silver upper with purple accent stitching complete with purple laces. On the heel of each shoe there is a small figure wearing overalls  stitched into the side holding up the peace sign.

3. De La Soul Dunk Low

Today De La Soul are regarded as legends in hip-hip. This low cut shoe takes inspiration from De La Soul’s record 3 Feet High and Rising. The sneaker stems from an all white base, however, it is one of the only nike dunks to feature a holographic design that changes design as it moves position. What is especially unique about this shoe is that one  pair is exactly the same.    

2.  De La Soul Dunk High

This is the high top counterpart which released along side the De La Soul Dunk low in 2005. This is considered to be one of the most coveted pair of SB’s of all time. The most noteworthy features on this pair of high top Nikes is the green elephant print on the toe box and the eyelets the 1 of 1 holographic back panel, and the green midsole. If you are fortunate to own a pair of these dunks you truly have something special in your possession.

1. Wu Tang Clan Dunk High

What more needs to be said. The Killa Bee’s  are the most influential hip-hop group to ever grace the planet Earth. They have countless classic’s and set the bench mark for most of the rap music that we listen today. These Black and yellow dunks are one of the most rare in existence as you will never, I repeat never, find a pair without three or more zero’s in the price tag. Wu- Tang Clan Ain’t nothing to F**** with, and neither these dunks.
