The Voice has tapped some mega famous faces to join their fifth cycle has mentors to the singers. NBC announced they’ve added Cher and Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder and Miguel as mentors for the upcoming season.
Cher will serve as mentor for Blake Shelton, whose finalists have won The Voicethe past three seasons. Ed Sheeran will be returning as advisor for Christina Aguilera‘s team, and Tedder will join Adam Levine while Miguel will work with Cee Lo Green.
President of late night and alternative programming at NBC Entertainment, Paul Telegdy released a statement regarding the news, “This group of wildly successful musicians will add their distinctive talents to their respective teams. I know Christina, Adam, Cee Lo and Blake are very much looking forward to having them come aboard.”
Past mentors that served on The Voice are ‘Hillary Scott, Pharrell Williams, Taylor Swift, Joel Madden, Sheryl Crow, Michael Buble, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mary J. Blige, Rob Thomas, Bill Withers, Jennifer Hudson, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson.’
