Tim Lincecum is a 2012 World Series Champion, four-time National League All Star, and two-time National League Cy Young Award Winner. So what’s everyone talking about this offseason? The pitching star’s new haircut. Lincecum’s long locks have been a part of how he earned the moniker, “The Freak.” That, his unorthodox pitching delivery, and amazing success are all contributing factors.

Lincecum struggled uncharacteristically last season. Even though his team won the World Series, he was sent to the bullpen because he had been so inconsistent all year. His team felt like they couldn’t trust that he would put up a quality start at the most important of times. So, is this haircut a new start for the young pitcher?
