You would think social media is taken lightly maybe even as a joke, well not for Detroit Lions wide receiver Titus Young who recently had to take some time off because of his tweets. Young tweets “Like I said I never been selfish but if I’m not going to get the football i don’t want to play anymore”, which since has been deleted by staff and press. Head coach Jim Schwartz was not to happy about the tweet and then comments with saying, “Every offensive player wants the football, and there’s good ways to go about getting that and there’s not-so-good ways about trying to get that done, This is a pretty good example of a not-so-good idea.” Yet Young seems to not have learned his lesson and then follows with a response “Oh I’m not done, if y’all going to cut me let me go. I’m tired of the threats”.
Titus has been known to cause trouble with an aggressive attitude and a nonchalant behavior, Lions fans are not to happy about this. If Young is to be release they will have to hope they can find someone else to step up and fill his role as a player.
We have to learn that social media isn’t just entertainment but follows us and everything we do. No matter what you say someone can and will look it up and use it against you.
