I got my vans on but they look like . . . boots?
When it comes to sneakers vans tend to be a touchy subject for many. Some consider a pair as a necessary component of any sneaker collection, while others wouldnt even wear them as house slippers. Nevertheless, I give credit where credit is due.
Asthetically the John Cardiel vans Era may be a very simple pair of sneakers with not too much going on but it is the small details which bring this shoe to life. This pair of Pro Model vans has a primarily brown canvas upper which seperates the the black toe and heel section. White contrasting stitching is distributed throughout all sections of the upper to give it added appeal. Of course the classic model sits on top of a white vulcanized midsole, as is the custom for most vans Era’s, but these specific Pro models feature boot-style rope laces.
