Every generation has a decade of music that has greatly influenced them.  Music that invokes memories of their childhood; house parties, BBQ’s and events that shaped who they are and who they have become.  On January, 29th State City Music’s Yung Texxus aka Mista Green, releases “80’s Baby, 90’s Kid: The Legend of Mista Green,” a tribute to the songs and artists who influenced him. Texxus delves deep and reveals some true stories about good and bad times with his up-bringing and everyday life. “80’s Baby, 90’s Kid” is hosted by Shade45’s DJ Wonder and DJ UFO of Hustle Squad DJ’s, mixed by DJ L-Gee also of Hustle Squad DJ’s and available on

With covers of Adina Howard’s “Freak,” OutKast’s “Two Dope Boys (In A Cadillac)” and his take on Notorious B.I.G. with “10 Rap Commandments,” Texxus takes the listener down memory lane. “I was born in the 80′s and raised in the 90′s. I wanted to go back and cover some of the classics by artists who were influential to me as a kid growing up in Killeen, Texas”, says Texxus.

Tracks from the mixtape have been featured on Sway’s Universe, Hip Hop Reviews for Dummies and ALLHIPHOP. You can follow Yung Texxus on Twitter and Instagram, or “like” him on Facebook.
